What Kind of Oil to Use on Silicone Baking Sheet

When it comes to using oil on silicone baking sheets, there are a few things to keep in mind.

First, make sure the oil you choose is safe for silicone. Second, be sure to use a light or moderate oil, as a heavy oil will cause the silicone to become sticky and difficult to remove from the baking sheet. Finally, be careful not to over-oil your baking sheet, as this can also lead to problems.

Some oils that are safe for silicone include canola oil, mild olive oil, and vegetable oil. These oils are light and will not cause the silicone to become sticky. If you’re looking for heavier oil, you can use duck, peanut, or grapeseed oil. These oils are a bit heavier, but still safe for silicone.

How to Put Hot Oil in Silicone Baking Sheet

Hot oil can be used on silicone baking sheets to make them easier to clean and also help with browning and crisping.

An important note here is that you have to make sure that you are using oil that is not extremely hot. Your everyday silicone can withstand up to 572F (300C) high temperature. So using for example hot deep fryer oil, which is usually around 360F (182C) is possible, although I would not recommend it as it spoils the taste quite heavily, especially if it has been used before.
